Bruce Rowe | MLA Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills

Fellow Albertans,

I was humbled and honoured to receive your support on April 23, 2012 when you elected me to represent the riding of Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills.

On that day I pledged to use my free-vote as a proud member of the Official Opposition to put the interests of our riding first.

As your MLA, I have also been privileged to help grow and shape the Wildrose into a party I truly believe is ready to form government in 2016.

In 2012, we showed that we are a capable and diligent opposition party, but in 2013, we showed we are more than just an opposition. We are the clear alternative to the PC government.

This year is shaping up to be just as eventful if not more so at the Alberta Legislature.

It will be an important year for Alberta’s energy sector, as we await word on the Northern Gateway and Keystone XL pipeline projects. These projects are critical to Alberta’s long-term economic success and Wildrose will continue to advocate for them in 2014.

Unfortunately, under Premier Redford’s leadership, we anticipate a continuation of deficit financing, leading to a projected $17 billion debt by 2016. Rather than blindly follow the government down this road, our Official Opposition will bring forward a series of new solutions and bold ideas to get Alberta back on the right path.

In 2014, you can count on me to continue putting the needs, ideals and interests of our constituency first. Together with my Wildrose colleagues, I will continue fighting for responsible spending, front-line services and the protection of the most vulnerable.

Thank you for the support you have shown me, and I look forward to working with you in the years to come.
